16.2.3 Fostering Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement through Strategic Partnerships

According to Section 7 of the Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) Constitution (page 12), the University may “conduct study, research, or training programmes in collaboration or joint venture with any other university, higher education institution, or organization, whether within or outside Malaysia.”

This provision underlines UniMAP’s strong commitment to stakeholder engagement and collaborative governance. By engaging with diverse partners—ranging from academia and industry to government agencies and community organizations—UniMAP aims to share knowledge, exchange expertise, and develop mutually beneficial outcomes that support sustainable development.

The University is dedicated to building effective working relationships with all stakeholders by maintaining open communication, addressing concerns, and promoting cooperation in fulfilling its institutional mission. These collaborative efforts not only enhance the quality of education and research but also contribute to transparent, inclusive, and participatory institutional governance, in line with the principles of SDG 16 – Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions.
