Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) actively engages in policy-focused research in collaboration with government departments, with the goal of generating evidence to inform policy development for the Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia.

1. Sustaining the Financial Position of Public Universities
Lead Researcher: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wan Sallha Yusoff
Duration: December 2024 – March 2025
Grant: RM200,000 (TRGS-SF Grant, FPK)
Objective: To evaluate and develop targeted tuition subsidy policies aimed at strengthening the financial sustainability of public universities.
2. Feasibility Study on Establishing a Semiconductor School in Northern Malaysia
Researcher: Razaidi Bin Hussin
Duration: December 2024 – August 2025
Grant: RM125,000 (TRGS-SF Grant, FKTEN)
Objective: To assess the practicality and strategic benefits of setting up a semiconductor-focused educational institution in the northern region of Malaysia.
