Energy Efficiency Standard
UniMAP has a policy to ensure that all renovations and new buildings comply with energy efficiency standards. The university follows the guidelines set by the Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA) Malaysia to promote sustainable construction and energy-efficient campus development.
Equal Access
UniMAP has a non-discriminatory admissions policy that ensures fair and equal opportunities for all applicants. The policy is publicly available and, where applicable, outlines the rationale for positive discrimination measures to promote inclusivity and equal access to higher education
Electric Vehicle Initiative
UniMAP undertakes actions to promote more sustainable commuting among staff and students. The university provides facilities such electric scooter and encourages carpooling and ride-sharing. In addition, UniMAP is currently using electric motorcycles for security patrols around campus and is also exploring initiatives such as electric vehicle charging stations and improved pedestrian-friendly infrastructure to further reduce carbon emissions.
Flexible Working Arrangements
UniMAP supports flexible working arrangements as part of its commitment to employee well-being, productivity, and work-life balance. These arrangements may include flexible working hours, remote or hybrid work options, and job-sharing opportunities, depending on the nature of the job and operational requirements.
Staff Welfare
As part of staff welfare, UniMAP provides a monthly housing allowance to eligible employees. This initiative is aimed at reducing the financial burden of accommodation costs and supporting the well-being of staff members, thereby contributing to a more secure and conducive working environment.
